Yesterday afternoon I went to the <strong>flea market</strong> that&#8217;s held once a month in Milan. If you have never visited it I suggest you to go there because there are a lot of nice items, especially <strong>vintage bags</strong> (you can buy original vintage Chanel bag!) and accessories.</p>
<h2>Prices are not cheap (a plastic bracelet with colored stones for 30 euros! What?!?) but sometimes there are real chances, for example yesterday I bought a very cute vintage bag for only 10 euros, a bargain!</h2>
<p>I&#8217;ve decided to post some pictures of my <strong>latest purchases</strong>: I bought some nail polishes of <strong><a href="http://www.kikocosmetics.com/">Kiko</a></strong> including a bright green that I&#8217;m wearing right now, and a bangle with beads of <strong>H&amp;M</strong>.</p>
<p>I&#8217;ll post the pictures of my other purchases and gifts that I received by <strong>Sweet Papillon</strong>, a really cute shop in Milan, very soon.</p>

There are very few cities I’d actually rather move to, and among them there’s <strong>New York</strong> for sure, the city that never sleeps. Unfortunalty I’ve never been there but I hope to make up for that in the near future as, besides being fraught with museums, skyscrapers and interesting places to visit, it’s also full of <strong>shops</strong> and <strong>department store</strong>s. Here’s a list of places you cannot miss if you’re in New York!</p>
<p>If you happen to be aorund <strong>Madison</strong>,<strong> Broadway </strong>and <strong>Soho </strong>go check <a href="http://www.bananarepublic.gap.com">Banana Republic</a> out on 2360 Broadway, a well-known american store that sells casual and urban sporty clothes and accessories, <a href="http://www.ae.com">American Eagle</a> on 575 Broadway, another famous american urban sporty store, <a href="www.oldnavy.com">Old navy</a> on 503 Broadway, a trendy and sporty store that is also budget friendly. Kmart on 770 Broadway, very peculiar store which is worth sneaking a peak for sure.</p>
<p>If you’re into a more romantic and dreamy look, don’t miss <a href="www.anthropology.com">Anthropology</a> out, on 375 West Broadway, a store stacked with one of a kind, romantic yet creative pieces of clothing, which also happens to sell furnishings. If you’re into vintage stuff instead, here’s when <a href="www.whatgoesaroundnyc.com">What comes around goes around </a>comes into play. The store is located at 351 West Broadway and is indeed one of the Mecca of vintage shopping. Here’s where bloggers from Glamourai (<a href="http://www.pigchic.com/2010/01/12/fashion-icon-glamourai/">which we cited beforehand</a>) and <a href="http://www.brookandlyn.com/blog/">Brook&amp;Lynn</a> do their vintage shopping.</p>
<p>Finally we have <a href="www.jcrew.com">Jcrew</a>, huge store that owes its fame mainly to their cachemire twinsets and <a href="www.barneys.com">Barneys</a> on 660 Madison Avenue, one of the biggest department store worldwide, usually assaulted by Americans and not during sales.</p>
<p>In the so very posh <strong>5th Avenue area</strong> we have <a href="www.bergdorfgoodman.com">Bergdorf Goodman</a>, on 5th avenue, an exclusive department store that deals brands like Diane von Furstenberg, Oscar de la Renta e Michael Kors; <a href="www.saksfifthavenue.com">Saks Fifth Avenue</a>, on 5th avenue, another department store, whose 5th floos is entirely dedicated to emerging designers.</p>
<p>The <strong>Meatpacking District area </strong>you’ll find<a href="http://www.jeffreynewyork.com/"> Jeffrey</a>, on 449 West 14th street, a concept store packed with clothes and accessories from oustanding brands and stylish designers, <a href="www.scoopnyc.com">Scoop</a> on 875 Washington Street, a bookstore where you can buy clothing for men, women and kids. <a href="www.destinationny.net">Destination</a> a popular store that sells very selected and unique pieces from emerging designers.</p>
<p>Finally <a href="http://www.stellamccartney.com/">Stella Mc Cartney </a>on 429 west 14thstreet, the acclaimed British designer’s monostore.</p>
<p>And lastly don’t miss <strong>St. Marks Place</strong>, between Third Avenue and Avenue A, the american Portobello. Among records, vintage accessories, second-hand clothes and fancy shoes you’ll surely lose your mind!</p>
<p>Unfortunately this time I&#8217;m studying for <strong>upcoming exams</strong> so I have little time to write to<strong> Pigchic</strong>. Despite this I decided to inaugurate a new column: <strong>Where to buy &#8230;</strong> dedicated to the <strong>best shops</strong> in major <strong>European cities</strong> such as Milan, Rome, Paris, London, Berlin, Madrid, &#8230; A <strong>small guide</strong> which you consult when you are leaving or just to know stores which ignored the existence. I hope you like it!</p>
<p><a href="http://www.pigchic.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/where-to-buy-2.jpg" rel="lightbox[5885]"><img class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-5889" title="where to buy 2" src="http://www.pigchic.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/where-to-buy-2.jpg" alt="" width="640" height="451" /></a><br />
One of the <strong>most famous shops</strong> in the city is <strong><a href="http://www.10corsocomo.com/">10 Corso Como</a></strong>, a concept store full of clothes, accessories and design objects. The shop is located in one of the busiest areas of the city, especially at night because of the several clubs, inside a courtyard where there is also a <strong>cafe</strong> (a little bit expensive!) and an <strong>art gallery</strong>.</p>
<p>Then there are <strong><a href="http://www.frip.it/">Frip</a></strong>, in 16 Porta Ticinese Street (near Duomo), a very popular store which sells the creations of <strong>Scandinavian</strong> and <strong>British designers</strong>, more than <strong>magazines</strong> and <strong>records</strong>. <strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/purpleshop">Purple</a></strong>, a shop full of clothes and accessoriess in sporty chic style.</p>
<p><span style="color: #888888;">Poi ci sono </span><strong><a href="http://www.frip.it/"><span style="color: #888888;">Frip</span></a></strong><span style="color: #888888;">, in corso di Porta Ticinese 16 (vicino Piazza Duomo) un negozio molto apprezzato che vende le creazioni di </span><strong><span style="color: #888888;">stilisti scandinavi</span></strong><span style="color: #888888;"> e </span><strong><span style="color: #888888;">inglesi</span></strong><span style="color: #888888;"> oltre che </span><strong><span style="color: #888888;">magazines</span></strong><span style="color: #888888;"> e </span><strong><span style="color: #888888;">dischi</span></strong><span style="color: #888888;">.</span><a href="http://www.myspace.com/purpleshop"><span style="color: #888888;"> </span></a><strong><a href="http://www.myspace.com/purpleshop"><span style="color: #888888;">Purple</span></a></strong><span style="color: #888888;">, un negozio pieno di </span><strong><span style="color: #888888;">vestiti</span></strong><span style="color: #888888;"> e </span><strong><span style="color: #888888;">accessori sporty chic</span></strong><span style="color: #888888;">.</span></p>
