Bvlgari Man and Clive Owens

Who’s Clive Owens? Who? Clive Owens, don’t you know him?
Never heard of him.

This was the first question I asked when I got to the Hotel Bvlgari for the presentation of the latest masculine fragrance from the maison.

I had seen the place before, but I gotta say the arrangment was even nicer. In the lovely garden of the Hotel in Via Privata Fratelli Gabba an olfactory journey had been in order to find out the base notes of Bvlgari Man.

So, between a bite of saffron quiche or risotto I totally fell for the fragrance.

White pear flower, Calabrian bergamot, vetiver, wood and sandalwood are among the ingredients chosen by nose Alberto Morillas for the parfume. In this array of scents I got to test the fragrance at last and I was quite impressed indeed. Bvlgari Man is a sophisticated and elegant scent, in perfect Bvlgari style, which represents a strong man, bold and determinated, but at the same time, sweet and delicate.

By the time the party ended I got back home with a bottle I gave to my boyfriend which I might as well have kept hidden for a few days since it was his birthday ;-)

Alas, what’s done is done now.

As far as Clive Owens is concerned.. what can I say… after seeing his smile I immediately got who he was and I gotta say Bvlgari hit the nail in the head. He’s the perfect testimonial for this fragrance, available in stores from September, and I know for sure it’ll be a huge success.

C’è Clive Owens. Chi? Clive Owens, non lo conosci? Mai sentito nominare.

Questo è stato il primo scambio di battute appena arrivata all’Hotel Bvlgari per la presentazione della nuova fragranza maschile della maison.

Il posto già lo conoscevo, ma devo dire che questa volta l’allestimento è stato ancora più bello. Nel delizioso giardino dell’Hotel di Via Privata Fratelli Gabba è stato allestito un percorso olfattivo per scoprire le essenze alla base di Bvlgari Man.

Così, fra un assaggio di tortino allo zafferano e uno di risotto, sono letteralmente entrata nella fragranza.

Fiore di pera bianca, bergamotto di Calabria, vetiver, legno e sandalo, sono solo alcuni degli ingredienti scelti dal naso Alberto Morillas per il profumo della maison. E in questo tripudio di odori ho potuto infine testare il profumo, rimanendo piacevolmente colpita. Bvlgari Man è una fragranza sofisticata ed elegante, in perfetto stile Bvlgari, che rappresenta un uomo forte, possente e determinato, ma allo stesso tempo dolce e delicato.

Alla fine del party sono tornata a casa con un flacone che ho regalato al mio fidanzato e che ripensandoci avrei potuto tenere nascosto per qualche giorno facendo finta di averlo comprato per il suo compleanno ;-)

Ma va beh, ormai è fatta. Comunque, per la cronaca, anche a lui è piaciuto molto.

Per quanto riguarda Clive Owens, che dire, dopo aver visto il suo sorriso ho subito capito chi fosse e devo dire che Bvlgari ha colpito nel segno. E’ il perfetto testimonial di questa fragranza, che troveremo nei negozi a partire da settembre e che sono sicura farà molto parlare di sé.
